Computer Hardware Guide

Computers means the physical element (internal and external ) from a computer and digital circuits and computer chips inside the computer . Recently, devices have evolved in the way that it can be controlled , configured and solve the problem through the program. Most of the devices has not been seen by users as an integral part of inside the computer . The devices include internal and external components , controllers and storage, removable media and communications peripherals .

There are a large number of manufactures that develop hardware components. Common hardware manufactures are Intel, Acer , Compaq , Toshiba , Samsung , HP , Fujitsu , Sonic Profile , Apple and Cisco and Asus . This article will provide you with an overview of the most common devices and functions.

CPU(Central Processing Unit)

CPU stands for central processing unit. Performs calculations inside the computer that enables the computer to carry out a different type of job. It provides high data or bus system that moves data between the various components of the motherboard. Is measured by the speed of data transfer along the bus of the motherboard in MHz.

Motherboard

The motherboard is the hardware component inside the computer, which provides a platform for many devices such as RAM, hard drive, peripherals, PC cards and controllers.

PROCESSOR

The processor is the heart of the PC that handles the instructions given by the user. It is manufactured by a different processor companies including Intel, AMD, Cyrix and Motorola.

Memory

RAM is the physical memory inside the computer and stores data temporarily. Depends on the performance of computer RAM. More RAM, and better is the performance of the computer. Is the use of RAM by the processor and other devices to store data temporarily. There are two basic forms of RAM SIMM and DIMM.

Video Card

Video card is an important component and it controls the display of the computer screen.

Sound Card

Enables the computer sound card for audio output for audio devices. Today has built most of the computer systems in sound cards in the paintings.

LAN Card

Network adapter or LAN card is a communication of the computer's internal components. Must be all computers in the LAN network cards to communicate with each other. Is set to the LAN separate card, IP address is assigned a unique card for each LAN.

Modem

The modem is a communication device for connecting the computer to the Internet. I exist outside of the horn type modem, and internal.

Hard Disk

Hard disk is a storage device inside the computer. Common types of hard disk, there is a SCSI and IDE. Size and capacity of your hard disk is changed. IDE hard disk is connected to the motherboard using a ribbon cable

CD-ROM

CD-ROM is a device that is used to read data from the CD.

DVD-ROM

DVD-ROM is a device that is used to read data from the DVD.

USB Device

A USB is a portable storage device.

Printer

Printer is a type of the peripheral device that is used to print the documents.

Scanner

Scanner is a type of the peripheral devices that is used to scan the documents and images.

Monitor

Monitor is a type of the hardware device that is used to display the video signals.

Keyboard 

Keyboard is an input device that is used to give the input to the computer to process it.

Mouse

Mouse is a pointing device that detects the motion of the mouse ball with the surface.
